I’ve That One 💕
Yes, I’ve that one, the destined soul,
Who sought me out to make him whole.
He dreamt of dancing, hand in mine,
Yet his heart craved another line.
Through autumn’s chill and summer’s glare,
He stayed, though reasons filled the air.
Eight long miles, through dusk and dawn,
To drop me off, he still went on.
Through stormy rains and crowded lanes,
He shielded me from life’s refrains.
He never bid a cold adieu,
Even in fights, he'd see it through.
He walked with me through endless stores,
For things I wished yet seemed obscure.
He found me treats, no matter how far,
A craving met, a guiding star.
He swept the floors, he cleaned the space,
Four long days, no help in place.
My anger flared, my words turned cold,
Yet his love stood firm, bold as gold.
Alone he fought, till we were two,
His love ran deep, steady and true.
He spoke my name in notes so sweet,
Like springtime birds when dawn they greet.
He bore his burdens, silent, strong,
Still honing skills to help along.
He saw my flaws, yet never swayed,
My heart he held, my fears allayed.
With every glance, his love shone bright,
As if I were his only light.
I wondered why, what made me rare?
When others too had charm to spare.
Yet he alone braved storms untold,
Kept his worries, left mine consoled.
With tear-filled eyes, he took his stand,
To build a home with heart in hand.
I said yes, and with embrace,
We walked as one, through time and space.
