Mystifying Memories
Amidst the silent dead night
Clamour of thunder
With the chiming of raindrops
Memories are damp again
Hard to find a secluded corner
Where some warmth resides
Rain, ah! Again
Some thoughts brimmed
Some maneuvering
Rustling leaves, gentle breeze and lightning and thunder
Proving their mettle
To weave a tapestry
Amidst the silent dead night
These tad bits of wet emotions were left
astray
Fresh showers of rain; rejuvenation
Hibernated memories come alive
Awakening from a deep slumber
Clearing cobwebs in mind; memories shacked for years
One by one out of crevices
Anticipating the recognition of being called out
Long wait
Deep down the mind
Had burden of freshly engrained stints
Long silence
Restricted memories territory
Unrestrained reached to the fore of mind hotfoot
Nothing except to receive
Allowing them to amble…
Until another silent night, rain, and inclement weather;
Calls out for another memory to show up and perform.
